Take this test!
You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.

So I'm not sure if I agree with this. But these things are always fun to take if you have a minute.

We're back

Well we made it back. After days, and days, and hours and hours of driving, we made it back. It wasn't really that bad until we hit beautiful Nebraska and windy Wyoming. I flew into Detroit on Wednesday night, and we stayed there. Then in the morning we drove up to Canada and got the third degree from the border patrol man. You can't really blame him when you say your from Utah, your car's licensed in Iowa and Brandon's been living in Detroit for the past 4 months. It does look a little suspicious. But we made it through, figured out gas is a lot more expensive in Canada then here, and went to Niagara Falls. The falls were beautiful. Our hotel was about 3 blocks away from the falls so we walked over to them. The road we walked on was called carnival road and they had all this carnival music playing, but everything was closed. It was a little creepy.

We were able to go up on this giant Ferris wheel, and got some good pictures of the falls that way. After Niagara we drove back to Detroit and picked up Brandon's stuff. Once we were loaded up we headed to Chicago to stay with my Aunt and Uncle. It was good seeing them again and they were so nice to take us in and feed us and let us stay there. Then we headed to Wyoming to stay with Brandon's cousin. On the way we drove by our house in Iowa, sniff, sniff. (We miss it there). Then in Nebraska a car flipped over in front of us. We pulled over and made sure they were safe. They had their seat belts on and were conscious. Brandon helped them get out of the car and the paramedics came. Seriously what did people do before cell phones. The nearest gas station was a least 10-15 miles away. The people seemed okay when we left. Then we made it to Brandon's cousin's house and Jamie and Troy were so nice to let us sleep there. We got there late and left early, which worked out well because the lovely wind in Wyoming was blowing snow across the freeway at about 50 mph. We saw probably 15-20 diesels jack-knifed off the road. There was even a 5 diesel pile up. But we made it through without a scratch, guess those truck drivers just don't know how to drive;) The good news is we made it home safely, it's good to be home, and we'll be just fine if we don't have to make that drive again, until May.
Here's a picture of my boys, I never know if people want to see pictures of just Brandon and me so here's one of them.

I'm off...

Well tomorrow, I will be off to Detroit to pick up my hunky hubby. It has been an adventurous 8 months. But like all things; it has to end sometime. I am so proud of husband for how hard he has worked for our family, and continues to work. So here's my top ten reasons why I love Brandon.
1. He is the hardest working man that I know.
2. He is a good friend to everyone especially me.
3. He is very handy with his hands, (he knows how to fix things.)
4. He is the best daddy to our boys
5. He is very driven to always do his best and succeed.
6. He has a testimony of the gospel and is a faithful member of the church
7. He still manages to give me butterflies in my stomach
8. He's passionate about whatever it is that he is doing
9. He's not a quitter
10. He's always wanting to solve my problems even when they're not solvable- is that a word?
I could go on and on with my list. I married a wonderful man, my best friend and I am so excited to have him back with us forever now.

Got Skills??

You would thinkI watch Naploean Dynamite with Logan a lot. But that's not the case he came up with his own idea of needing, "skills". When he first showed them to me he said, "mom these are my skills". I thought should I have named you Napolean?? So here are his "skills", with Porter in the background, my Pete and Repeat.

Porter has decided that since Logan has a pet gold fish, (yes it's still alive Anna). He needs to have a pet shark. He informed me that we can keep it in the bathroom and I would be the one to feed it. He's thought it all out, sounds like a great idea right?!

Logan also has become quite "worried" should I say with the female anatomy not looking like a male's. He has come to the conclusion that "girls, pee out their butts!" Any advice on this subject will be apprieciated.

One last funny, the other night Porter was saying his prayers and he said, "Heavenly Father, Logan's crazy! Amen."

This guy in Springville makes snow "creations" every time it snows. He's also done Mater and Lightning McQueen. My kids love to drive by and see them, they are very cool.

My Little Men

First day of church for the new year. Logan is now a CTR 5, man I can't believe he's old enough to be in that class. Porter stays in sunbeams even though he told his teacher's he was 3 and they tried him out in Sunbeams. Can you imagine him in there, total destruction of primary! I think we can wait another year.

Logan being a goof, doing his "crazy" dance. He's so full of it!!

Porter is on the verge of being potty trained. I just am holding off doing it until my hubby is home. I don't think that I have the patience or energy to do it all on my own. So he asked for some help from my 3 year old neice and together they got the diaper off and then tried putting it back on before I found out. Do you think I'd notice;)

off

snow pants + stairs = lot's of fun

Porter loves his snow pants. Once they go on they don't come off until bed time. He was playing with his cousins one day and they all came running down the stairs, when he wants to be fast he sits on his butt and scoots down. So he did this and was surprised to find out he flew down. He thought it was so much fun, he tries it out each time the snow pants go on. Thought you might enjoy seeing it in action. (Logan also likes going down the stairs, he's just not as fond of his snowpants as his brother is.)
