Olivia's Halloween Party

My friend Amanda and I decided that with our older kids getting to do so many fun Halloween things at school, our little girls needed to have a little fun too. We invited a group of friends from church over and painted pumpkins, played, had lunch and the adults were able to get a good visit in. It was a lot of fun!

Olivia's favorite phrase right now is "UH-HUH!" Especially if it has do with timeouts, bedtimes, naptimes, or doing anything she doesn't want to do. Here is a little sampling of the 'tude that we get with this little sweetheart!

What a night!

Tonight was the boys school trunk or treat. We were reluctant to go since there are 2 more trick or treating events this next week, and we had tickets to the Pistons game tonight. It turned out to be a lot of fun.

Olivia was a little monkey.
Porter's friend Margaret pulled up right behind us and she was dressed as Princess Peach so we had to get a picture.

Logan's friend was Luigi as well. A lot of his friends didn't recognize him with his mustache. Porter was more recognizable because of his glasses.

Getting ready to go. Olivia was working on taking her costume off.
She kept her outfit on for a few minutes then took the hat and slippers off. We tricked her with candy the 2nd time we put it all on and she didn't try taking it off again. Here's the loot! And like I said we have 2 more trick or treating excursions.
After the Trunk or Treat we hurried our bottoms to The Pistons game with some of our friends. It was so crowded. They gave out a lot of free tickets and it was very evident. Porter was disappointed he didn't get to see the "flames" from the start of the game. Then some people came and took 4 of our seats because they had the ticket numbers on them. We squished 14 people on 10 chairs. After the 3rd we decided to take off. So we were only there 2 quarters but it was perfect timing.

All in All we had a great night!

There was a DJ at the Trunk or Treat and the entire time we were in the gym Porter was dancing. He literally could not stop. This is a video of him going around saying hi to people. The parents tried to take a group picture of the kids and the entire time Porter is dancing and WILL NOT hold still for a picture. It was so funny to watch.

Porter's new glasses

It was time to get new glasses for Porter. His other's had been broken one too many times to look normal anymore. So I let him pick them out this time. He loved these ones. He said they made him look like a rockstar!
Last week Porter recieved 2 rock stars which are rewards for good behavior he gets at school. After getting his first one he came home and said, "Mom it was so easy! All I had to do was sit and be quiet!" I love this boy!
