Just me and my girl!

Since school has started Olivia and I get the boys ready for school, drop them off at 8:45 and then spend the next 7 hours hanging out, just her and me.

It's really quite nice just the 2 of us. We go on walks, go shopping (grocery shopping is shopping right?) We've gone to lunch with friends, spent the day at the park, and guess what we still have 9 more months of this.

(Olivia has a thing with wipes, she loves to suck on them)
Really I just love this little girl and spending time with her.
And yes there are times where we really, really miss our boys!

Soccer and Best Wii Game Ever!

Soccer season is now in full swing and we are having a blast! Logan is doing really good at Defense and Goalie, and is actually liking the game. Porter is all Offense, and hates having to come out of the game. He's all over the place and VERY aggressive. Unfortunately they are in different leagues this year otherwise they'd make a great team together.

Have you played Just Dance on Wii yet? If not you should try it, so much fun! After a very disappointing BYU game this was a definite pick me up!

First Day of School 2010/2011

Tuesday was the first day of school here in Michigan. I didn't plan for enough time for pictures so I didn't get very many. Right when we got to the school the bell rang and the teachers started taking the kids into the building. So we frantically took a couple. The boys are both adjusting well to the change of being back in school. Logan is in first grade this year and likes it for the most part. He did say, "all we get to do is just sit there for like an hour!" other than that he's excited to see his friends from last year and is able to play with them at recess.
I don't know if there is a more excited kindergartener than Porter. He loved his first day of school. Everyone in his class is referred to as his bestest friend so and so. The second day he had a little bit of a harder time with controlling his emotions and hit a kid, so we dealt with that and today went much better. I thought he would come home exhausted but he comes home wired and bounces off the wall. Olivia is thrilled to have both of her brother's come home and I think they're pretty excited to see her as well.

The boys have both started playing soccer. Logan is on a team with some friends from church and is on a pretty good team. Porter's team couldn't find a coach and the league threatened to cancel his team if someone didn't volunteer to coach. He was so excited and I couldn't not let him play so I volunteered. We've had one practice and I'm going out of town for his first game but other than that I think it will actually end up being a lot of fun. Just now every saturday until the end of October Brandon and I will be cheering our boys on.
We're excited school has started, my house stays a little cleaner than it did before, and let's be honest summer time is fun, but a routine is divine:)

Last days of summer vacation

Tomorrow is the day that at many times this summer I had wished was here sooner. The boys are starting school and will be gone ALL DAY LONG. How we got to this point is beyond me, I feel like I just blinked and Logan went to Kindergarten last year, I blinked again and now it's Porter's turn. This last weekend we tried to enjoy sleeping in, and being together.
We spent the afternoon today at Erwin Orchards, eating donuts, sipping cider, and playing on haystacks. It felt more like fall today as well. The weather was cooler and the leaves are starting to change color.
We also went and saw who the boys teachers will be this year and who is going to be in their classes.

And really she was happy most of the day until I tried taking her picture with her BYU shirt on. I was going to get one of all of the kids but none of them were cooperative.
