Random Stuff!

After 4 months it's finally official about Brandon's job accepting him.  They put his name up on the wall outside:)  I tried to get him to stand by it and he kindly declined.
Another Oliviaism is her playing with this statue.  She calls her Rapunzel and she loves her.  She talks to her, hugs her, puts jewlery on her and if I would let her she would carry her around.
My little cheeser!

For the Grandparents

This is the talk that Logan gave during the primary program last week.  Sorry the sound isn't very good.  He did a great job and came up with this talk idea on his own, with a little help from me:)

Trick or Treat

For a family that doesn't LOVE Halloween, we've had a lot of candy getting opportunities.  On Monday Logan's school did a family Trunk or Treat which was quick, easy and painless.  We went, got our candy, saw a few friends and left.  My kind of thing!

Our next door neighbor Josh dressed up as Mario.  Since Porter was Mario last year he wanted to be Luigi, so it worked out great for these two friends.

Posted by PicasaThen tonight was our ward chili cook off and trunk or treat.  Logan invited his friend John and they had a lot of fun.  John thought it was the coolest thing ever.

We have one more trick or treat experience on Monday and then as Brandon would say, "We can focus on the most important holiday!" Thanksgiving.

Disney on Ice

We took our kids to Disney on Ice last night and had so much fun.  Olivia was in HEAVEN watching Minnie, and Tinkerbelle.  The boys both enjoyed it. Porter wiggled back and forth in his seat with the music.  Logan would probably say he didn't like it because he was the only boy in our group over 6.  He's getting to be "too cool" if you know what I mean;)

Going to Bed!

I had to run to the store tonight after Brandon and I had put the kids in bed.  Apparently Oliva had got up a few times and Brandon was "busy" aka watching the Tigers game.  He told her to go to bed and she did just that.  Just not in her actual bed.  When I had gotten home this is how she was found.  At the top of the stairs with "baby brothers" blankets on her.

Fall Hay Ride

This is a post where I'll let the pictures do the talking.  But I will say, I love the FALL, and this was a good day.

Oliviaisms

As I've read through my older blog book and read some of the stories about my boys and the funny things they have done.  I've realized I need to write down more of the funny things that Olivia does.
She and I have been doing "school" at home.  Just some fun little activities.  I'll ask her questions like "what shape is this?", or "what color is this?" When she gets it I say, "good job!"  She'll in return then ask me the same questions and say, "Good Job Mom!"
A few weeks we were heading home from church and Olivia was getting out of her seat belt.  I told her to put it back on and she closed her eyes and proceeded to wiggle her arms out of the straps.  Brandon then sternly said, "Olivia get your seat belt on!"  She opened her eyes, smiled and said, "okay dad! Promise!"  Then continued to get out.
When she's doing something she shouldn't be doing she closes her eyes once she's been caught and proceeds doing the thing she shouldn't.
She tells everyone we meet, "Baby brother, in mommy's tummy!"  Then she'll push her belly out and say, "Baby brother is my tummy!"
She has started to wake up in the middle of the night and come into my room and say, "Mommy, I'm tired!"  So then I get to go and tuck her back into bed.

The End of Soccer and General Conference

Soccer has come to another end this season.  It was so much fun watching my boys play on the same team, and only watching one game.  Porter scored a beautiful goal for his last game and without fail gave me his thumbs up afterwards.  Logan played goalie and defense positions.  This league they have the kids playing everywhere which I didn't like in the beginning but now I do.  My boys both became better players because of it and LOVE soccer.

The last 2 weeks or so Porter brings little notes home for Brandon and I.  We love them.  This one says, "Dear Mom, Love you. Do you want to play with me then I will play with my freinds on the trampoline. You son, Porter."  It makes my day to get these little notes and he loves writing them.  He brings some home from his friends at school as well and they are so cute.
Just had to document that my daughter did let me put a little bow in her hair for about 5 minutes.  Then she quickly ripped it out.
For General Conference our home teachers had come the Sunday before and told us about building tents like King Benjamins people did.  My kids loved that idea so we went ahead with it.  For the most part it worked and kept them quiet.  By sunday afternoon they were over the fun and we didn't get much out of the last session.
Brandon went to Utah to go to Priesthood with his dad and spend some time with family.  So I kept the troops busy.  We played bingo and had lots of snacks.
I loved Conference I loved Sister Dalton's talk to dad's about their daughters.  I cried through it and Olivia mocked me:) That's what she does when she hears someone or sees someone crying.  I don't know where this little girl comes from.
During conference Olivia played Rapunzel with the towel in the picture.  She climbed the towel and her other princess dolls climbed it as well.  Kept her entertained for a while.
