Easter 2010

Since Brandon is going to be on Ortho Trauma in a few days for the next 3 months and he won't be around much. We decided to celebrate Easter yesterday with a big dinner and coloring of eggs. (We're going to do baskets next week but are changing it up a little bit too.) Logan and Porter LOVE to dye eggs, it's something they look forward to every year. Olivia didn't do much this year besides emptying out the garbage, cupboards and bookshelves, (man she's busy!) Our egg dying is far from fancy, but it's a time to be together and have fun together and those are the moments that I love the best.

New Words...

Logan and Porter were playing yesterday when Logan said, "You're a nipple Porter!"
Oh the joys of other kids teaching mine new words that they don't know what they mean.

But I do have to admit I laughed a little bit:)

Things to remember

Olivia and her bear.
New words: "Pee-boo" Peek-a-boo
"uh-oh"
"HiIII"
"Da-ddy"
Daddy is by far the most used word right now, and Brandon just loves it.
When she wants something she grunts at it and points and then nods her head up and down.
When she wants to be picked up she grunts with her arms up in the air and her head back.
The other day during lunch I told Porter he needed to pick either an apple or orange to eat because they'll help make him strong and healthy. While he ate his orange he flexed his muscles and said, "I'm feeling stronger already mom!"
Tonight Logan and I went to his schools mom and son Luau. I thought it was going to be really cheesy. But it ended up being really fun. They had a dj there who kept the kids entertained really well. We did a dance circle where every boy who wanted to got to go dance in it while everyone else cheered, "Go Logan, Go Logan Go!" (Very hip hop harry.) Logan pulled out some break dance moves I didn't know he had and was very excited to get his 5 seconds of fame. We did the thriller dance, The Macerena, and the Chicken dance. It was fun to see his friends from school and their moms. I love spending one on one time with my kids. I always learn more about their lives and what they find important by taking these little moments to hang out with them. I have such amazing kids and I am truly grateful that I was blessed with them.

Just some random pictures and thoughts

Random thing Logan came home wanting to have a sleepover the other night with a 2nd grader friend from the bus. Really we weren't prepared to be dealing with this yet. But luckily Brandon and I have discussed it knew we weren't going to allow our kids to sleepover. Very different times. (Do you let your kids have sleepovers?)
Porter is such a good helper. He is my kid who will pick up a room, make his bed, and any other chores without any problems. He is such a good big brother and for the most part loves having his sister play with him.

Olivia loves to pull this face! The other morning I was awaken to the sweetest little "HiiII" coming from her room. I went in there and she had her teddy bear holding it up into the air and then bringing it down to her and hugging it saying, "HiiII." (I need to video tape just how cute her little "Hi" is because typing it out is not doing it justice:)
