Well we made it back. After days, and days, and hours and hours of driving, we made it back. It wasn't really that bad until we hit beautiful Nebraska and windy Wyoming. I flew into Detroit on Wednesday night, and we stayed there. Then in the morning we drove up to Canada and got the third degree from the border patrol man. You can't really blame him when you say your from Utah, your car's licensed in Iowa and Brandon's been living in Detroit for the past 4 months. It does look a little suspicious. But we made it through, figured out gas is a lot more expensive in Canada then here, and went to Niagara Falls. The falls were beautiful. Our hotel was about 3 blocks away from the falls so we walked over to them. The road we walked on was called carnival road and they had all this carnival music playing, but everything was closed. It was a little creepy.

We were able to go up on this giant Ferris wheel, and got some good pictures of the falls that way. After Niagara we drove back to Detroit and picked up Brandon's stuff. Once we were loaded up we headed to Chicago to stay with my Aunt and Uncle. It was good seeing them again and they were so nice to take us in and feed us and let us stay there. Then we headed to Wyoming to stay with Brandon's cousin. On the way we drove by our house in Iowa, sniff, sniff. (We miss it there). Then in Nebraska a car flipped over in front of us. We pulled over and made sure they were safe. They had their seat belts on and were conscious. Brandon helped them get out of the car and the paramedics came. Seriously what did people do before cell phones. The nearest gas station was a least 10-15 miles away. The people seemed okay when we left. Then we made it to Brandon's cousin's house and Jamie and Troy were so nice to let us sleep there. We got there late and left early, which worked out well because the lovely wind in Wyoming was blowing snow across the freeway at about 50 mph. We saw probably 15-20 diesels jack-knifed off the road. There was even a 5 diesel pile up. But we made it through without a scratch, guess those truck drivers just don't know how to drive;) The good news is we made it home safely, it's good to be home, and we'll be just fine if we don't have to make that drive again, until May.
Here's a picture of my boys, I never know if people want to see pictures of just Brandon and me so here's one of them.
