Kid Tag

I was talking to my friend Lisa awhile ago and she had said that someone told her that blogs "were just another way for mormon women to compete with each other." I don't agree with that statement at all. I think it's totally fun to see what other mom's are doing with their kids to get ideas. Also to hear when they are having bad days with their kids as well to know I'm not alone in that. Having said that, this is a brag about your kid type of tag. You say Eight words to describe your kids. It's kind of fun so if you need something to blog about go for it.

Logan AKA: Logger, Log, Logster the jokster
creative- He has become very passionate about his coloring and drawing. He'll draw pictures of giants and cars, and make up these very detailed stories about them.
Thinker- He loves to watch how things work and try to figure them out. He's not very impulsive, he'll usually think things out before trying.
Sensitive- He is very aware of what is going on around him. If people are fighting or sad he's there to comfort them.
Strong- He's a very tough little 4 year old, but he's a very gentle.
Smart- He learns very quickly when it's something he's interested in.
Stubborn- This could go for both of my kids. But Logan doesn't move any faster than he wants to move.
Enthusiastic- He loves doing new things. He's everyone's number one fan. When Porter uses the toilet he's always first to say, "great job, Porter I'm so proud of you."

Porter AKA: Porter-Man, Porty, Porter the Destroyer, Por-Der
Lover- Very lovey, cuddly, kissy, you name it.
Hard Headed- Literally he smacks his head very hard into things when he's playing and just jumps right back up and goes again.
Player- Always wants to play, or be chased, or be tickled. Always on the go
Fun-loving- Is usually very happy and easily entertained.
Repeat- He is Logan's little side kick, what Logan does Porter follows right behind.
Goer- I don't know if that's a word, but it's him. He's always doing something. He sleeps hard and plays hard.
Friendly- Loves to see new people and talk to anyone who will listen.
Independent- "No, I do it", need I say more.

Well there you have it. My cute little guys are so much fun.

What cute boys you have!

As for what your friend said... well that's kind of sad. I think it is wonderful to share our triumphs and our joys (as well as our struggles). And like you said I love hearing others' and getting ideas. We are all working on doing and being better and we can certainly help one another instead of compete!

so cute -- those are two cute lil' guys!
by the way, i don't think blogging is a way to compete with mom's either -- i'm with you, i just like to see what people are up to.

Cute kiddos! I agree with you. I use my blog almost like a scrapbook as our family, but it's also a good way to keep in touch with my boys' grandparents who don't get to see them much and to keep in touch with other friends. It's way too hard to keep updated on everyone's lives - but blogs make it a whole lot easier!
