Brandon and I have been talking about this word and its correct spelling. I just saw a new spelling for it. So which spelling is correct? And which one is the right word usage for excited? Do they all mean the same thing? I know this is VERY RANDOM, but I am really curious. Anyone know?
Other business, we just signed Porter up for FREE preschool. Honestly I am so stinkin' excited and so is Porter. That boy needs to get out of the house more than I can offer him. He will be going Mon-Thurs in the afternoon for a few hours. It will be great for the both of us:) When I was signing him up they asked about the other children in the home. She asked me where Logan was, since I hadn't brought him with us. I told her he was over at a friends house. She was pretty surprised and said, "really, how have you met people here already?" Me a little more surprised said, "oh we know people through our church." She just gave me a "wow, that's great," response and it ended there, (nope no missionary moment). But it made me think how lucky I am to be a member of the church. Since moving away from family that has been one of the biggest ah-ha things for me. There's always a friendly face and people who will invite me to everything, and befriend me. So no matter how many places I have to move to, hopefully not too many more. I have a group of friends. Okay, I know I'm so cheesy. To me it's just so nice to have that knowledge and to be apart of this great network. (No this is not a thanktimony or a testimony per se, just a ah-ha-mony:)
Just had to show a picture of the "Porter Pout"

I'm not familiar with the yeay, but the others are all words and I would pronounce them differently. I usually write YAY! but yea works too :) congrats on preschool! I'm looking forward to b in kindergarten, she missed out on preschool and I think she's gonna LOVE school. Don't feel bad about that. Everyone needs a little time to themselves :)
i have no idea what is really right. for myself, YAY is the excited exclamation and yeah is more like a yes. who knows though? love those pics of porter man. too fun.
What great posts! I swear I was looking every day to see if you had updated and then I miss a day or two and all of a sudden there are 3 posts on there:) I use all of those Yeah's, I guess whatever you feel like at the moment....
Love those pictures!! I have the same question about he word yay, yeah, or is it yea!? I have no clue...I spell it Yay...but I am not known for being a speller. I have just found out about a free preschool program for Annie as well, hopefully I will be able to get her a spot in it! Free is sooo good!! Love ya kim!
It is a great thing to have the church when you move, it's the only thing that makes me feel better when we move. Congrats on the preschool, Clara would be jealous!
I have seriously wondered the same thing!!! I have no idea how to spell it!
Congrats on the preschool. I love that it's mon-thurs.... and FREE!!! yippee!!! (I'll say that instead of yay, yea, ya, or yeigh!)
I am excited for Justice to go to Kindergarten this fall...even though we are making him do it twice. I never know which yeah to use, so I usually just say WAHOO! And, I am soooooooo happy to be part of your current group of friends! Thanks for moving to michigan and thanks to Porter for giving Justice a best friend! :)
We had a similar experience when we had to go to a Holiday party with Danny's co-workers two weeks after moving here. Almost everyone who knew that we had two little girls asked us how we managed to find a babysitter two weeks after moving. We lucked out cause we hit it off with a family pretty quick that had also moved here from Des Moines and they happened to have an 11 year old daughter. Moving would be miserable with out the instant church family wherever you go. And in answer to your first question, yea seems scriptural to me, yay is for fun and exciting things, I pronounce yeah differently, and I've never seen the other one.
Congrats on the free preschool! Scott totally needs to get out more, too. He gets so bored with me...
My take on the various yays: I use "yay" for hooray, I pronounce the scriptural "yea" the same way as "yay," and I use "yeah" like a sarcastic "yeah, right." It's funny how differently everyone uses them though... I guess they all work!
