Oh, how I love these kids. But really we can't get a decent picture of all of them together, evidenced below:)
I've been wanting to update this little journal of mine for a while now and just haven't gotten around to actually doing it. I "write" my updates in my head throughout the day. So hopefully I remember some of what I want to remember.
Logan is in 3rd grade right now. He's playing soccer and loves being on a team with his friends. He started piano and tries to pretend not to love it, but I really think he does. I'm constantly amazed at his ease of sharing the gospel with people around him. He never second guesses himself if he should say something about our church. For example we were taking our neighbor home from the pool the other day and Logan picked up the "Friend" magazine in our car and gave it to her and said, "You should read this, it's about my church and there's some really good stories in it." He is always doing things like this. He is such an amazing example to me to be bold and to speak up.
Porter is in 2nd grade and is taking all of my doubts about having him in 2nd grade and is kicking butt. Besides forgetting his assignment book most days, he's doing great:) Porter is my tender hearted boy. He truely misses Henry while he's at school and as soon as he sees him, he's in his face, kissing him, and telling him how much he missed him. Henry just eats it all up. Porter is playing soccer too, and has lots of energy and loves running around and playing with friends.
Olivia is still the Princess of the family and if you tell her you love her she'll tell you she loves daddy and then you:) See why she has Brandon wrapped around her finger!!! She started her first dance class and is in heaven. She goes with some of her friends from church and it really is so much fun to watch them.
Henry is so much fun! Even when he's miserable, teething, has a cold, he tries to be happy and smile through the tears. He has just cut his 2 bottom teeth and just got his first cold. He is trying to crawl and can get around to most things that he wants to get at. He loves to put everything in his mouth so we have to be careful.
Things are going well for us. Starting our 2nd year in Ohio has kind of been like lifting a curtain. We're finding that we're enjoying it a lot more, and finding where we belong here. Our kids are seeming to settle down and find their places as well. We are looking forward to fall, and football, two of our favorite things:)
