Easter and the beginning of Spring Break

We have had a great start to Spring Break. The kids had yesterday off for the passover. Then today we went and did our ward egg hunt. Porter went crazy with the eggs. The primary president told the kids to open up their eggs and take out the candy and turn in the plastic egg. They could get 12 eggs at first but after that it was kind of free for all. So Porter found an area that wasn't hit very hard and went crazy opening up all the eggs and dumping the candy in his basket and tossing the eggs to the side. He gets so excited when it comes to finding candy. (Did I mention that he was with the sunbeam and nursery aged kids:)

Logan was with the older kids hunting for eggs and had to actually look for them. When we got into the car he popped in a piece of candy and immediately said mom "What's in this?" Of course it was a Mr. Goodbar and he says, "My throat hurts!" Shoot! So we rushed home and he said his throat didn't hurt anymore. So we started lunch and he complained that his tummy was hurting and the next thing we know, he spewed! Then stated "I feel a million times better!" And that was the end of that. Of course we took all of the peanut candy away and too bad Brandon and I had to eat it;)

Olivia loved just shaking her egg. She just stood in this spot and screeched happily and shook the egg. I love this little girl!
(Really it's a miracle to get a good group shot and this wasn't one of those miracles.)
Right before conference started Brandon and I heard voices right outside our windows and then someone banging on the door. Outside our amazing babysitters left us a little surprise. Porter was convinced it was the easter bunny.

Olivia has fallen in love with shoes. She loves to put mine on and walk around in them. So cute!
Myles (my bro) is getting married in June. These last few days I've been making little boy's ties. They're really easy to make and so cute.

Logan made a list for us of fun things we can do during spring break, since we can't go anywhere. I love seeing him learn how to write things down. He's started writing stories and he's getting really good at it too. Some of them are pretty funny. In case you can't tell what it says, Henry Ford and Greenfield village, library, swimmin', picnic, bikes, park, movie night, tennis and soccer.

Happy Easter!
