Finding fun all around!

This week we've been trying to find some fun things to do. The park across the street was loosing it's appeal a little bit. We got a membership to the science centers here in Michigan, it also covers other states as well. They had a premier night on learning about bats. The contraption on Logans ears let's you hear like bats hear.
My boys hanging around kind of like the bats do.
They also have a dinasour part of the museum, and nature trails although it's been so hot and muggy I don't know who would want to go hiking.
Brandon hearing as the bat's hear :)
We also found a beach area that was fun. It wasn't really beach weather but it was cool to go see. They had swings and sand and that's about all it takes to make my boys happy.

On the way home from the beach area we found a little ice cream shop/cider mill. They have a little river front, goats, a train I think that only goes around in the fall. So if anyone comes to see us in the fall this is a fun little place we could go to. They make cider and have donughts. Sounds like fun to me.

So far so good in our quest for finding fun things here in Michigan!
I've also been asked about "The Host", whether I liked it or not. I absolutely loved it. It surprised me at how much I liked it. I think the thing I love about Stephenie Meyer's writing is she writes so real, like these things could really be happening or could happen. So anyone who's on the fence in reading it, READ IT!!!

Wow, it looks like you guys are having a lot of fun and that you have already found some great things where you are living. I am happy to see that. Your kids look so excited.

I think one of the best parts of moving somewhere new is discovering all the fun things to do there. That looked like alot of fun! Thanks for the advice in the Host, I have heard mixed reviews. Hope you find more awesome things about michigan!

I am glad you guys are getting settled well in Michigan! We are moving next week to Yakima- time to pack up. Luckily it is a fairly easy move- only 1/2 hour away- that makes a huge difference. Oh- and we just started reading the Host- and so far we also LOVE it! Stephanie Meyer IS such a good author.
