So I feel like I am playing catch up every time I blog, but I want to get everything in here since I plan on making it into a book, so please bear with me.
Friday night we went to our ward camp out. It was fun, but can I just say I miss Utah. It was so hot and muggy when we were trying to sleep that we were actually taking the extra clothes off of us and our kids. I wanted so bad to have the cold canyon air on me and feel like I needed to be in my sleeping bag. All the boys slept great, once we got settled and they had talked to grandma and papa.

Brandon had used this stick for our hot dogs for dinner the night before and Logan decided to adopt it. He carried it around with him everywhere and gave it a name. He also tried to sneak it into our van so he could take it home, we have enough sticks around our house we don't need more.

It rained after we got there and got our tent set up. I sat inside the tent with the boys while Brandon cooked our hot dogs and brought them to us. What a great dad. The rain didn't last long and soon the boys were outside playing soccer and tag with all of the other kids. Every time Porter went out of the tent the dirt just seemed to jump on him. It didn't help that his favorite place to play was right in the black, ash dirt that comes from the fire. I think we used 3/4 of a new wipes pagkage. But he had fun.

I've been working on some projects these last few weeks. I made a couple of blankets for our new baby and then the white things are burp cloths. I saw a really cute website where they used cloth diapers and covered one side with material so they look cute too. I have used the cloth diapers with both of my kids in the hospital and loved them. But I hated how they looked so now hopefully they still work great and look a lot better.

This week I also got a really fun package in the mail this week from my good friend Lisa. I was asking her how to make bows, (she's an expert) and she sent me a fun package with some bows and a cute outfit and some other stuff. So I'm just showing off what a great talent she has and that I'm glad she's my friend. The bow actually clips on and off of the head band so I can change it with other bows, can't wait.

Lastly we've come to this. This is what we've had to do in order to get Porter to sit long enough to get all of his eh-um out. He's so busy and just wants to play all the time that he was cutting his time on the toilet short and having accidents right after. So we gave him a book in hopes that his love for them would still exsist on the toilet. So far it's worked but I'm afraid to say that because tomorrow he'll probably have an accident.
The name poll is just something we're doing for fun to help with names. We really aren't using that to determine what the name will be, just fun to see what other's think of the names we like.

The horrors of potty training! Cynthia actually just stopped having accidents a couple of months ago (she just turned 5!!!). So- I know how frustrating it is when you KNOW they can do it and they still have trouble. Hang in there!
i am so excited for you to have a girl too because there are so many fun and cute things you can do with a girl! post a pic soon of your belly-i want to see :)
Wow! It looks like you've been busy. I think we should get together soon. I'll you today.
I hope you had a blow up mattress for yourself while camping! We had great time when we went. Glad it was fun for you.
I love all your projects! The blankets and burp clothes are adorable! I would love to make some for our little boy. Would you mind sharing the website you found?! Thanks!
Good luck with the potty training...I'm not looking forward to that!
The blankets and burp cloths are adorable. I especially love the brown and pink one! Sounds like a fun time camping trip. We sure miss you guys.
I'm totally with you on the camping in humidity. The first time I camped in Iowa was when I was just into my 2nd trimester with Alyssa. I thought I was going to die when I layed down at night and continued to sweat. I love the blankets, burp cloths, and the bow. Aren't girls so much fun?
The blankets look great! You are talented!
So, what name are you picking? Or is it a secret?
Ok, so you need to teach me how to make those beautiful blankets and those awesome burp cloths. Did the website with the burp cloths teach you how to make them? If they did I want the site! Guess what? My sister Laura is also having a girl!! So I am in Bow making heaven!! hahaha!! Love you kim!!!!
just wanted you to know that three of the names that you have in your poll are on my short list of girl names that we like -- even though i think i'm destined for all boys, it doesn't hurt to be prepared (and no, we are not pregnant!)
I love those blankets that you made! They are so cute. I think you should name your daughter Lydia:)
