Some conversations with our boys have definitely brought smiles to our faces these last few weeks. Logan asked a question we have been asked by non-members in a somewhat jokingly somewhat not way, but we never expected our 5 year old to ask, "Dad, how many wives do you have?"
Our boys were fighting with each other and in Logan's frustration he yelled, "Porter, you're acting just like a Decepticon!" For those who don't speak Transformer, they're the bad guys.
Logan is very curious about nursing. "How does the baby drink milk from your stomach?" Then with a follow up,"Can I drink some?" I really don't want to go into details of the whole nursing process with my 5 year old for fear he'll randomly share them with everyone he talks to as he does with most other things. So let's just say I'm trying to be a little more discreet.
Porter has found a new found love for the heating vents, especially at night and early mornings. When he hears the heat turn on he'll jump out of his bed and crawl under his bed, that's where it blows out, not up, and lay there with his blanket until it turns off. Then he'll want me to come in and tuck him back into his bed, until the next time the heat goes off. When he wakes up super early and crawls in bed with me he does the same thing in my room. He also stuck about a half a pad of sticky post-it notes into the vent in my room. So in the middle of the night I had to dig them all out. I think one of them is still in there but I can't find it and can't take the vent off of the wall.
Brandon has missed out on most of these "fun" little experiences with Porter because he has had to get up at 4:30 am to be in to work to round early. For him, February is the month of no life. He goes to bed at least by 8 every night. General surgery is not for everyone, definitely not for us.

I'm glad you are keeping record of all of these funny conversations and memories. I miss you and love you all.
Sounds just like Logan! How funny that Porter loves the heat vents. That's Van and Madi they both get up and go sit on the vents with their blankets in the morning:)
I seriously love your conversations with your boys!! I laugh my guts out. The nursing one has got to be a favorite
Peter too is a lover of the heating vents! He calls them his warm spots. Sometimes we'll wake up in the morning and he's already out of his room and in the front room asleep on top of one of the vents. I like to think that he's only been there for a few minutes, but sometimes I wonder if he spent most of the night on his "warm spot."
What cute boys!
Todd is on Surgery this month, too. We hate it.
Those are some good stories! (Hannah nurses her babies from her stomach.) Cute kids. Love the pictures below too. Oliva has such cute dark hair!
