On to my random things. Since we've been here we've found that Michigan has a lot of really good yard sales. I have found a double stroller for a $1.00, (the canopy needs a little help but other then that it works just great.) We've also found a buzz lightyear costume, a shaggy and Fred costume all for a $1.00. I won't list everything that I've found but we haven't spent much and have gotten a lot of stuff that we need for the baby or clothes for the boys and shoes. One of my great finds also was a 1000 piece lego set for a $1.00. Those legos have entertained my boys for the last 3 days, worth every penny.
On saturday we went and watched fire works over the lake where we go swimming. It worked out great to be able to go to fire works as a family because on the 4th Brandon will be on call, so it will be just me and my boys. I don't think I'm crazy enough to take them by myself to see fire works on the 4th. While we were there a lady that I was talking to was so amazed that I had two boys so close in age, I was just thinking if only you knew I was pregnant with our third, that would have really shocked her. With my irrationality I've been trying to avoid "looking" pregnant and it seems the more I fight it the more it shows. On sunday I tried on about 5 skirts and nothing fit. I'm just not ready to wear umbrella clothes again, and why is it that when your not pregnant maternity clothes are so cute then when you get pregnant there's not a whole of cute clothes anywhere?? Anyone else ever feel that way??

Here's the boys getting settled in to watch the fireworks. It doesn't get all the way dark here until 10:00. Brandon tried to get in the picture as well.

We got a little bored while waiting so we thought we'd stick our kids in the trees so they wouldn't run off.

Porter making a funny face, and on the bottom loving watching the fire works.

Some of the people we sat by had extra glow sticks and gave them to Logan and Porter. If you look close you can see Logan has it wrapped around his face.
One last thing is we started potty training Porter last week. He's got the peeing thing down and stays dry all night long, and if he wakes up in the middle of the night to go he sleeps in until like 8:30 or 9:00. For those who've ever had Porter sleep over know he wakes up early so this new arrangement has been so nice. We're still working on going #two, he can do it for the most part he just has an accident like every other day. He's been in pull ups and every morning he says, "I'm going to stay dry all day long, I AM THE GREATEST!" Such a funny boy!

let me know what you find out about the slurp and burp thing.
also, welcome to the comments from EVERYONE about how "you've got your hands full." you'll hear it from strangers everywhere you go -- just get used to it!
Potty training, need we say more? That's too bad that Brandon has to work on the 4th, but I'm glad that you saw fireworks already:)
Wow, I have almost forgotten what it is like to see green grass and trees! Sounds like a fun time. I am jealous about the garage sales, I went here last weekend and it was a pretty lame selection, bummer.
Looks like things are eventful, that is awesome about the double jogging stroller. I have heard of blurb, I don't know how to use it, but I have friends that say that it is awesome.
Porter you are the greatest!!! I am so impressed that he stays dry all day!! GO PORTER!! Kim a am so with you on the not finding cute maternity clothes when you are pregnant!! Sad but true!! I want to go yard saleing so bad. I just have so much going on every weekend with traveling, unpacking, and traveling again!! ARG!! Well luckily the yard sale season is not over yet!! Oh yeah, uhhh, do you think you can fly here when it comes time to potty training Ben...I figured if you have potty trained two boys you are probably an expert by now...I will pay for your ticket!! :) You know since I am so rich now I just think I will pay for all of you to come down!! HAHAHAHA!! Heres for wishful thinking!! LOVE YOU KIM!!
Brandon's on call already, huh? Well, I guess Jon is too! I have mixed feelings about Jon starting his residency (he started June 23). The first couple of weeks were really easy (orientation)- but I still missed having him around. He is now gone more- he is doing an all nighter tonight (30 hours total)- so here we go! Truly, though, he is happy to be moving on to the next step and is very happy to being doing real doctor stuff!
It sounds like you guys are getting settled in well there in Michigan- we just barely moved a few days before Jon started (though we didn't have far to go). It was great to see you at Graduation time!
Hi Kim, I know you don't know me personally - I saw your comment on Karina's blog and I know that my husband Wade knows Brandon, (we just started 4th year) but anyway, I've used blurb and had to let you know that I was really happy with it. It was really easy to figure out and change the templates, and I printed my entire 2007 blog year that was about 200 pages for $40. It was pretty good quality, only one page had a picture messed up. One word of advice, if it says the picture will be too small, believe it, it won't look good. I am going to use them again for 2008 and go back and do the little of what I did blog in 2006. good luck!
